Deloitte is making an impact that matters with our commitment to military members, veterans, and their families.

Over the years, Deloitte has maintained our commitment to making America stronger. Deloitte takes a holistic approach when supporting veterans, with an emphasis on physical health and recovery and employment through workforce giving, skills-based volunteering, pro bono work, and direct funding for continued education.

Why veterans are a great fit for Deloitte

Deloitte has a strong legacy of support for military and veterans causes – from sponsorship of the Warrior Games and our Career Opportunity Redefinition and Exploration (CORE) Leadership program, to our commitment to the White House’s Joining Forces initiative and multimillion-dollar investments in military and veterans-related pro bono services. We join our clients who see not only the business need, but the societal need for supporting transitioning military, veterans, and their families.

More than 1,000 armed forces members and veterans are employed by Deloitte. Hiring veterans helps make America stronger - and it makes Deloitte stronger.

Will Reynolds – US Army Veteran

Will Reynolds joined Deloitte after serving as an officer in the Army—“In the last position in the military, I was serving as the deputy ops with JIEDO, which is the Joint Improvised Explosive Defeat Organization. And that's where I was introduced to the whole consultant realm. I realized, ‘Hey, you can contribute to the Department of Defense and federal space as a non-uniformed person.’”—Will Reynolds, Manager, Deloitte Consulting LLP Federal Government Operations, Washington, DC. Jillian McGhan - US Navy Reserves

Jillian McGhan has already had three careers. First as a child actor who appeared in Jell-O, Reese’s, and Playskool commercials and on “Live with Regis and Kathy Lee.” She jokes that she retired at age 11 to “focus on more important pursuits like soccer and middle school.” Then came eight years as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard the USS Farragut, where she completed two deployments and conducted anti-piracy operations. “We were frequently in close proximity with foreign warships and interrupted seven piracy attempts,” she says. It was a decidedly more demanding career than her first, and one she still pursues as a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserve. Read more

Jennifer Deutsch – Military spouse

Jennifer Deutsch’s journey to partner has not been a straight line. She graduated from the University of Michigan. Moved with her Marine husband to San Diego. Briefly held a job selling business forms (“Not like we have business forms, anymore!”). Graduated in 1996 from San Diego State University with a Masters in Accountancy. Then took a position with Deloitte after an internship at Coopers and Lybrand. She says of Deloitte, “I loved the people; I loved everything about it.” Turned out, she would also come to love that Deloitte has an international presence and entrepreneurial culture, because she proceeded to advance her career even as her family moved “at the discretion of the US government.” They’ve lived in San Diego, Washington D.C., Emerald Isle, NC, Orange County, CA, and even Frankfurt, Germany, all coinciding with her husband’s military assignments. As part of Deloitte's commitment to those who have served our country, we've been working with American Corporate Partners (ACP), to assist veterans in their transition from the armed services to the civilian workforce. ACP offers veterans tools for long-term career development through mentoring, career counseling, and networking opportunities.
